Armorik Breton Whisky, already 30 years of passion behind us.

Brittany is a region with typically Celtic characteristics, a rugged land and a salty, marine climate prone to sudden storms.

With 83 years’ distilling experience under our belts, we decided to set off on an adventure in whisky, the connoisseur’s favourite spirit.
To this end, we acquired two Charentais-type stills and improved them for a unique flavour. 1987 saw the arrival of WB – Breton Whisky, a Blended Whisky made of 75% wheat whisky and 25% malted barley whisky.

In 1998, we continued with our research to create Armorik, the first Breton single malt whisky! With Armorik, we stepped proudly into the big league. This single malt soon became our leading product.

In 2008, driven by the desire to grow our business in France, we brought Galleg to the market, a French blended whisky with 50% malt whisky. Our aim: to attract French consumers while staying true to our Breton roots.

In September 2009, at the Whisky Live trade show in Paris, we created a sensation by introducing two new expressions reserved exclusively for the wine merchant and specialist store market, Armorik, double maturation and Breizh Whisky. Their resounding success led to our products being stocked by La Maison du Whisky. We gained entry to the select circle of top-of-the-range whisky producers.
